8050 back home from my friends workshop
Hi , we get on really well with it the weight is alway pretty spot on . It’s not the easiest machine to wash but that just takes a few more minutes so no big problem. Our biggest dislike and it’s something we are going change ASAP is the rear step/ ladder thing for some reason we all get our boots caught up as we step off and then fall backwards , I did it three times on Friday so it wasn’t a one off and my lads have the same problem. We’re going to replace it with a full width fold up platform before one of us breaks an ankle . Apart from that it’s a really good machine .How do you get on with your Sulky spreader Bob? Ours is great when working well but having the odd teething issues, seems to spread more out of one side and if you put 2t in when its empty and zeroed it will say its only got 1850-1900kg in it. Guess it probably needs calibrating!
Milking cow tube squirt a bit under top am bottom lid 2 or 3 days on the run be sorted
Serious question. Why the hell do you need such a big tractor on that? Neighbor used to pull a 10m JD disc seeder with tow behind aircart with a 7820 JD. 180hp....View attachment 952127View attachment 952128View attachment 952129
75 acre field drilled this arvo, Got locked out of the cab at lunchtime so had to borrow a key from a neighbour (with our only key in the ignition).
2 notes to self, 1) Buy a spare key, 2) Don't shut the cab door without taking the key with you.
Straight lines thanks to the wonders of modern electronics.
8m Vaderstad drilling at 7.2 to fit in with 36m tramlines, so seed rate and area have to be adjusted by 10%.
I have done 250 acres on a tank of diesel, but 1000 litres didn't fill it!!
Howling hereIf you’ve got the wind like here it will be bone dry by dinner time.
How do you get anything to outcompete established lucerne? Following 5 year lucerne with maize takes a glyphosate, a pre em, a post em, and still there is plenty of lucerne competing with the maize. It takes us 3-4 years to suppress it.Drilling some trikkala subterranean clover into old lucerne paddocks today.View attachment 952367View attachment 952368View attachment 952369View attachment 952370

I think the vadastad takes quite a bit of pulling,I have seen a J C B 145 struggle to pull a three mtr at any speed we use a 7820 to pull 4mtrs she is well on top of the job but the yank jds have real horses under the bonnet (put ours on the dino and they recon she is 220 hpSerious question. Why the hell do you need such a big tractor on that? Neighbor used to pull a 10m JD disc seeder with tow behind aircart with a 7820 JD. 180hp....
