I then drilled my AB9. I disced it to make sure I had a nice bit of soil to cover the seed, I know how irregular the depth can be with the claydon.

Gone in nice, rolled it too, just before the rain!

Ready to start planting winter wheat ( Lancer. Most of our wheat crop is what you would consider “spring” wheats ) back into the mungbean stubble ( harvested a couple of weeks ago. Full profile of moisture under it, so as part of the plan to have living roots & groundcover for as much of the year as I can, going straight back in with another crop ) tomorrow.
Seed in truck, starter fert in 1 tonne bags.

I remember enjoying that job as a lad. Neep seeder was always on the 4000 so no one was precious about the job and I got a go at about 10 or 11 years old.

Got some looking the same as that but been in 17 days ! Just shows if in to early its no better off if temps not there.

A mate of mine put some in a fortnight ago just before that first big rain and I was kicking myself because I wasn't ready but I spoke to him yesterday and he's only got the odd plant is only just poking through.

err, the mungbean stubble is the darker, wider (1 metre ) rows. Last years durum are the narrower ( 333mm ) lighter coloured rows

On the 35 no? I know the 1840 had a fair few on He got me out of a lot of sticky situations at 3am when I had 1, there arnt many people who will answer the phone at that time
