Did you take off the rear harrow much for transport Terry?Nice drill Robert, was mine for a while,
It's only just struck me now that your drill is driven differently to the one I use, ours has a wheel driving the metering mechanism...Did you rely on lift trip switch to shut off metering drive, this one wont stop once started!
Electric drive seems to be fashionable these days, but I like the simplicity of yours! It's only just struck me now that your drill is driven differently to the one I use, ours has a wheel driving the metering mechanism...View attachment 997849
Biomass? Will made a start chipping today . Today I’ve been to RSL Engineering to pick up a new log grab for our 7ton 360 (pics tomorrow). The timber crane is ok but is abit of a handful as it’s so quick and if we turn the flow rate down on the tractor we lose the lift capacity. The grab on the little digger is the last piece of the jigsaw .This is how it works . Fred cutting on the 14ton 360 with the tree shear , Will carting wood home with the timber crane and trailer, Me on the 7ton 360 loading the chipper and dad carting the chips away and loading lorry’s . YesBiomass?
Most of our work are windbreaks in orchards so the is no room , doing it like this we only have the machine cutting and one tractor with timber crane carting it out . If we chipped it on site we would need the 2 360s , a tractor with crane and trailer , tractor and chipper and tractors carting it home . The owners are really keen not to have any ruts or mess so keeping the machinery to a minimum is really important. + all the cutting is done in a 10ft wide alley .Why not chip on site, ?
reduce labour and machinery
