1st full day back on the road after 10 weeks of chest infection then Covid.
Morning in boilers and burst pipes and then this 🙈
Looking for a leak through ceiling turned into a major strip out 🫣

looks like it’s happened and been bodged before 🙄 this is now a major job if it’s to be done properly, tray out, wall down to the bedroom next door and floor needs repairing, dry rot has taken hold.

We see this all the time, someone’s been to BQ and bought something miraculously that it says on the item to fix the leak, Yes! 🤔

Do you do the whole job or only problem finding and repair?

Still no work for me
The leg is healing up well, no pain just aching from bone growth, my calf muscle is tight near the scars. I’m on physio twice a day at home by myself to loosen the knee ligaments as I’ve only got about 30 degrees movement. If all is well I can start to partial weight bare in 2 weeks time, then I’ve probably got a month of muscle building and knee improvements before I can possibly start full time work. I’ve not worked for 6 weeks and it’s a blur of hospital, surgery and pain!

This one looks like it had a leak due to the usual tiles upstairs issues, then overboard with nasty Honeycomb plastic that has now gone brittle and leaked in a different place. Pith really as the leak I’ve been asked to sort hasn’t created much damage, it’s the failure of the previous person to do a proper job that’s going to cause all the major repairs
