Quads are of course a bad thing.
But you have to admire the old girl.

Hopefully you can salvage the guard @Hfd Cattle, if not make sure you are seated when you get the pricešŸ˜–
Somebody will of popped along and put a whole new shaft on by now, even given the whole machine a grease round. They may have even just taken a whole new machine that they had no use for and was just getting in the way

I think they are one of the best looking tractors ever in my opinion
Something very imposing about the 8R series
One of the best tractor ranges ever built , from the very first 8000s the basic design hasnā€™t changed much . We have owned a 8200 , 8200T , 8520T this 8360R and our 8RX and they have all been lovely to drive and grip like no other tractor .

Frustrating day. Had planned to strim the grass at the orchard as it has just about dried up enough and today is practically the only dry day for a fortnight if the forecasts are to be believed. Had the strimmer fully serviced over winter, with a new guard and cable fitted as well. Filled it with Aspen 2 and it would not start. Grrrrr. Ground is still a bit too soft for the ride on and that needs a service and some new belts anyway. Really hoping the forecasts are wrong as 33.6mm of rain is estimated over the next 10 days. Will be back to square one only with rough grass a foot high on uneven ground. šŸ„ŗ

I have been brought in halfway through this project. Digging a shallow natural pond in pure sand . Imported clay layered then paddled with the remote control (serious fun) newson Whacker. Creating a deep ish part. A natural shallow shelf then a sloping beach. Itā€™s been a number of years since I last did a full day on a digger. It soon comes back. The smaller the machine the more the rocking over rough moves makes you wince!
hyundai arenā€™t the best compared to hitachi and Volvo that Iā€™ve driven before. Newson remote I can only compare to the only other remote control vehicle I have driven, a Tamia RC car I drove a pout 35 years ago.

Suppose they're only as good as the mechanic that looked it over
That's where it gets complicated.
Does a mechanic really do a full report on it, or do they have a yard man that cleans it up and has a quick look over stuff before taking pictures?
If a mechanic does actually look it over, do they take any notice and fix all the faults or bang it out the door and hope?
