Some of you know that we opened our farm shop in a nearby historic house which is slowly being restored.
This was last night

And this is this morning 😢

Not allowed near it this morning by the police. Arson suspected.
I sincerely hope your wing has been spared.

An ancestor of mine married a Dorothy Bampfylde , from there , in the 17th century and many of her descendants , are named after her, including my sister.

Wills having a break from drilling today and is getting some more potatoe land pulled about for a customer . I’ve finished cultivating and have resumed my consolidation duties.

1st job today, tap swap then in to a heating fault that turned out to be self inflicted by the customer, really wish some wouldn’t fiddle with stuff they don’t understand. Took nearly an hour to trace that one 🙄
Then headed home as up n down stairs 8 time stuffed the lungs and oxygen levels 🤬

Well last night was peak lamb killer. More rain than ever and we were round at 6am picking them up.
4 warming, 1 just died and going back for another gather up of chilled lambs. Supposed to be sunny by teatime View attachment 1174778
We had that a lots years ago & said never again & built a big shed to put the sheep in , we have been very lucky been on lambing for week & have not put any thing outside yet , but will have to put some out tomorrow , every shed is full of ewes & lambs , even the cattle handling system shed, this weather is unreal with over 100mm of rain so far in April & only 6 days in the whole year with no rain fall

When BG thinks its thick enough, no more germinates does it? Bet there would have been a good second flush by now, had it been possible to spray it off.
And then it will still lie in wait for the pheromone scent of a passing drill coulter, to trigger another show.
