Today I found big spanner

As you all know by now that me and my brother are having to move out ...... so I have been sorting out scrap and what is not scrap and today I found a 2 feet long cranked spanner with 2 inch jaw one end and two and three quarters the other end...I would put photos if I knew how to
Could it be from steam engine days of many years ago??

I have contacted tfa but as we are not members they cannot or will not do anything but at the moment everything
