I came away a bit disappointed. Entries seem to be getting less and less very year in the classic ploughing and hedgelaying.

Modern class is expanding though and a always love watching the horses.

Yes it is becoming more of a show than a ploughing match getting. But your right, a good turnout on that score. Our vets were there for the second time with hog roast on so that was dinner sorted.

From Fort Stockton north it’s been oil fields and I think fracking wells never seen so many trucks pickups plant moving up and down the road. It was a never ending stream of tankers gravel type trucks and many other bits of plant servicing the industry. The big fan were attached to massive engine pumps for fracking I assume . Drove for 2-3 hours through it and the oil/ fracking fields when on for as far as you could see either side of the road. Also loads of trailer parks and temp accommodation presumably for the workers

Carlsbad Caverns pictures don’t do it justice . Supposedly the largest cave site in the USA. Took about 1-1/2 to walk down to the bottom and another hour to walk around the bottom. Lift back up 750ft 20-30 seconds. Well worth a visit

This little fella had an op yesterday, lopping a dodgy leg (and his wee testicles) off. We adopted him from the vets a month or so back, after some lowlife had dumped him and his siblings in a bag in a roadside ditch. This lad had managed to clamber out, only to be hit by a car, mullering his front leg completely.
We’ve fed him up to get him up to 2kg, which was the minimum weight for his op under general anaesthetic.
He seems to have taken it in his stride so far, unsurprisingly, knowing his character.😍

His name is ‘Socks’, as apparently it is no longer acceptable to call out ‘Spas’. Who knew?

Update on this fella…
He’s clearly struggling to cope with the stress of life on three legs.😍

Farming pictures from New Mexico . Good friend of mine has a Contacting/ Farming business there .
Bit of land work and drill wheat for whole crop next spring. corn chopping and few other bit I didn’t get enough pictures. Some sorghum and cotton fields also . Fair few plots of pecan trees about, apparently once up and running they make around 10k an acre
A quick spin around a dairy farm at the end they milk @8000 cows on 2 sites across the road from each other.
