No amount of family tradgedy makes farm disaster any easier to bear , like most I've had far too much of both and really feel your pain . Chin up mate , as my wife and I always say ' it is what it is ' and when you're at the bottom there is only one way to go . Take care

Sorry to hear about your loss.

We have straying stock cover and loss of income on our insurance. I would hope a conversation with your insurer would find that the majortity of your financial if not the emotional loss is covered.

We all have had animals get into places they shouldn't be.
Mostly it causes a mess maybe something a little more severe but rarely something like this.

We should all take note and make sure that places are secure against roaming beasts.

I haven't really got many friends but the support from you all on here means so much . Thank you. My eyes have had a good wash.
So have mine, and I'm not even a stockman, One of those things that have hit me quite hard god forbid how it must have hit you> As others have said try (impossible I know) not to dwell on it to much and use your fellow TFFers for all the support you can get.

Really sorry to hear this. Try and follow some of the advice that you have given me over the last 15 months . You know where we are if you want a chat . Let me know when it's convenient to pop over for the semen. love from our family to yours

So nice to read all the messages of support on here......not such a bad bunch most of them!!! Almost makes you proud of our industry!(y)

Livestock disasters don't get much bigger than this. Don't know what to say and nothing anyone says can change anything I'm afraid. I cannot imagine suffering a loss of that type or scale and how devastating it must be.
As others have said, at least you and your family are OK physically. If you feel really down in the next few weeks or months, make sure you seek help.

Very sorry to hear. Like what other people say on hear at least it wasn't a family member. It's sounds like you have great cows and you will breed back more great cows in the future.
