Did you know there is a drought thread running?Oh god here we go it’s started Had a couple dry days and the suns even popped it’s head out and people be drilling maize next week and drilling spring barley like the worlds gone too pot … can see the posts in April coming already complaining there crops have failed or they wasted there time it’s come wet Chill out people it’s not even February yet it’s still winter!!
Will be on with grass harrow if it stays dry levelling cow pats and jigged areas etc, it will then have time to wash in before turnout.Given the dry mild weather.. anyone cracked on yet ??

Wish it would just throw a few rain showers bring everybody back too realityGive it a week and some clown will start their first cut of silage!
Exactly, the winter is probably still to come.Wish it would just throw a few rain showers bring everybody back too reality
That's some cartMany years ago got first cut silage on Valentine's Day! 1958? That was near Totnes, South Devon! S22 ryegrass, I think.
Thats just plain out of order, 200 ponies at least for a task such as that...Opening up the dung pats should expose any worm eggs to the elements which they won't like? Sat inside a lump of sh*t is nice and warm for the little darlings, ready for the spring. That's my excuse anyway and a 40hp tractor doesn't use a lot of fuel.
The mower winked at me as I walked past it yesterdayGive it a week and some clown will start their first cut of silage!
Made me laugh.there was a boy doing silage the other day in Fife.Give it a week and some clown will start their first cut of silage!
