Topped grass - let lie or turn into silage?

Hi there, looking for a bit of advice

Got some fields topped today, too much grass had turned stemmy and I could do with some fresh grass for weaning lambs next month. However, there was a bit more bulk over some parts of the fields than I expected. So my question is - is it worth baling this into round bale silage? It's not very long but is covering the ground in some parts.

Turn the sheep in.. whenever I top I always leave the sheep in for a day to clear it up

I just leave the stock in for a while after topping they either eat it or move it

Agree with above.

Have sometimes made small fluffy hay bales out of topped grass. Usually just to line barn floor/sides, sold it last year though.
