Towing headers

I think I raised this point last harvest. Towing a 40 foot header down the road cannot be the easiest thing. Why do some farmers like to make their life harder by not reversing the points, surely cannot be too hard !
Is it a Suffolk thing

We used to only have a 12' cut so you just drove down the road with the header on. Always used to lay the dividers in the bed though

Points / dividers, what you will, going down a narrow country lane is possibly not the best with the dividers still in place

I drive with the header on and it’s 40 ft cut. Tilt is handy clearing the occasional d**kh**d in a car that thinks in going down the side of the ditch to let him past. For the most part everyone is good but we still have a few that think they are king of the road. Plenty of lights and some common sense keeps most happy. Even had the cops stop traffic on a main road to get me across safer.

Ha ha, not many roads round here would take a combine with a 40 foot header
