Do you notice the lack of horse power?

Back in my 3.0 litre tonight and the engine is noticeably quieter & less coarse than the 2.4 unit

Feels more torquey too and refined - positively purrs .....I guess 600cc's and 20 more bhp is the answer

The new one has too many gadgets and distractions on the dashboard too

Glad I bought the last of the old mk7 3.0 litre model

Well, it's certainly more more car-like on the motorway and fast roads, cabin is very quiet and the vehicle is comfy (adjustable driers seat is a big plus @6' 2)

6th gear is welcome, but you need to be rolling to make proper use of it

Trip showed an ave of 36mpg over 300 miles, at 70-80mph on speedo

I wonder what it'd be like with a 3tonne weight up behind
That is really bad consumption. I drive a lot faster in my Navara and get better consumption.

Dunno if the trip computer was accurate

Pump to pump is the only accurate calculation

My 3.0 Auto is doing a mixed 32.8 mpg so far on a measured basis and this isn't a huge discrepancy to the onboard mpg computer

The cattle box will be little more than a slightly annoying rattling noise following behind when pulled by that monster.

Bet the owner gets lots of tiger tokens as well

He got pee'd off waiting for some folks to move near the loading docks. Took off in a seamless auto growl and spent a good few tiger tokens in the process I'm sure

I've done pump to pump measurements and it's slightly better than the trip computer on the Navara.
