Tractor dilemma

I currently have a 2013 Puma 160cvx which has just clocked 5000 hours, body work is in excellent condition and a have just resprayed the wheels and rear mudguards.
I also have a 2140 fastrac which I am selling, now the plan had been to take the 20-25k from the fastrac and give the Puma new set of tyres and a new seat as well as fit a loader, however my dealer has a 2016 Kubota m7171 kvt premium with quicke loader on with only 1200hrs, which he says will cost me 20k with my case as a trade in.
Bearing in mind it would cost me the best part of 15k to put new boots and a loader on mine, is this deal a no brainer? Or am I better of tarting up my case despite the higher hours? better the devil you know and all that? The Kubota is completely unknown to me, so I am a bit wary. Any advice welcome

Could you get the Kubota for a week and pay a hire charge if you decide to leave it back?

If the servicing has been kept on top of there should still be manufactures warranty on it, 5 year 3,000 hours was the norm! We are a kubota dealer, can genuinely say (and you’ll have to trust me) but we have sold approx 30 M7’s...they have been very good, a few niggles, but all have been sorted (leaking roof, suspension ram union, circuit board (consequential of the root) you will get a very high spec tractor, the back end is ZF, 9,400 kg lift, same wheelbase of a short wheel base cnh, Jd6155 etc...They have been very reliable to be fair! , if you want to speak to some owners, give me a shout!

Do the prop bearings on the Puma and keep it, there capable of a lot more reliable hours than 5000.
edit - or they should be bearing mid there pretty much the same as the blue versions and I know plenty of them been run to high hours.

What's the Kubota gonna be worth, can it do your workload, do you actually like the machine??

What cost to change the Case for a newer version of the same? You might as well have something to compare the Kubota with.

I have no idea on the cost to change to an equivalent case as I wasn’t planning on changing the tractor at all, I was in the dealer getting a price for a loader fitted to mine and the rep offered me the m7 as an alternative ( I think he has someone lined up for my tractor too which must help)

The Kubota should be more than capable my workload, the Puma does it very comfortably.

What got my attention is that for 5k more than what it will cost me to put new rubber and a loader on my 5000hr tractor, I can have a nearly new one already with loader fitted

Prop bearings been done, I had no intention of changing it yet as it’s very very tidy and I keep well on top of servicing and maintenance with the intention of running to at least 7-8000hrs.
However, I can’t ignore the value for money being offered in the Kubota.

Yes, still a bit of warranty left on it.
I’ve got to admit I do like the look of it, I haven’t had a play in it yet though.
I may well take you up on that as I have nobody around me running any, will pm you.

Yeh, similar to a fendt or nh to drive, pedal or lever control, but yeh, be worth a go in it, and if you want to speak to some , just shout up 👍
We paint the wheels on a few, breaks the orange up a bit! 😂👍

12k seems very expensive for the loader, how about fitting a good condition 2nd hand loader? if the tyres are 3k and loader is 7k, total 10k outlay, and there is no doubt that the puma would be a more capable tractor than the kubota. reliability wise i cant see either make being much better than the other. 5k hours really isnt that much nowadays, especially if you know its been looked after.
