Tractor replacement

The T2 6460 with Perkins engine is a thirsty beast for its power. You will probably find that the new tractor will save quite a bit of fuel as long as you don't move up in power output too much. The 5470 with Valtra/Sisu engine is a far more impressive performer and so is the 6470 with Sisu T3. Absolute gems.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm also looking at replacing, and I'm befuddled by weights of tractors (I won't talk about the ridiculousness that is price).
I currently have a 180hp deutz 620ttv which, according to the brochure, weighs 6400kgs unladen
The like for like replacement for this, a 6185ttv in the brochure weights between 8300-8600 depending on equipment.
But then a bigger wheelbase 6215 powershift deutz apparently weighs a similar amount, so I guess the cvt gearbox adds lots of weight.
However, according to the Massey brochure, the MF7718 weights in at a much nicer 6200kgs.
So is the Massey really the best part of 2 ton lighter than a deutz?
I'd be grateful if anyone running a 7000 series Massey who knows it's true weight could let me know, as it's my drill tractor, so if it really is that much lighter, it could sway me away from Deutz

I changed from a 4 pot 110 hp case with boost to 130 to a massey 66 series in early 2016. I was like you set on a 5613 with loader, tried one and taught it a damn fine loader tractor but not any handier around the yard than the case even though it looked smaller. When I mentioned a vari-width 4f plough I was quickly steered away from the 56 series to the 66 series. I didn't want the extra length but it turns in a smaller circle than the case, the 5613 and a mates t6.150. I think it's the front axle is wider and allows a better steering lock before hitting the brackets. 980 hrs on a 6613 dyna 6 now, onepass, plough, 2t spreader, 1200l sprayer, 2300 gallon tanker all in its stride. Alot safer on the road with the extra length. My vote 6613 or above

You must've been checking the wrong column, there is no way a 6185 weighs more than 7 tonnes even if it is a TTV.
8600kg is what a 7250ttv weighs with half a tank and 710 tyres btw...
Thanks, that's helpful. Brochure must be wrong.
