Tractor wheel changer dolly

Anyone have one of these Chinese pieces of junk ?

Bought one just over a year ago and I’ve had both the original and a replacement ram fail

You’ll pump the handle on the pump like mad and then it’ll suddenly let go. Due to the integration of both ram and pump it’s not possible to dismantle and repair. The net suggests the same problem as I am having and also there’s no solution

They are meant to lift 1.2t. However we use them on 650 65 42 which would be less than that

I am thinking of modding it by removing the ram and using say a cheap electric garage hoist bolted to one end - or similar. Anyone done similar ? Or have a better idea ?

How do you mean, let go. on mine you pump the handle to close the 2 bottom rails then when it gets so much pressure the pump seems to `let go` but it just changes down a sort of gear and pumps shorter strokes as the weight goes up.

Yes ours is the same pump it until there’s a bit of pressure on the wheel then it changes into like a low gear still keep pumping and will lift wheel

Yea two speed pumping as others are saying on the spaldings type, yours looks very similiar tbh. A new ram assy from spaldings isn’t too sore tbh. The other option is to put on a double acting ram and a separate hand pump from Flowfit or similiar supplier

I put a ram and a 12volt hydraulic power back on mine far quicker easier

Have you slackened the filler plug slightly like it says in the instructions? It stops the pump air locking when it’s trying to draw in oil.
