We always lifted ten ft rows . If they needed a turn, we used a small wuffler one row at a time.We lifted 40ac last year that had been tedded with the mex6,I never want to do that again
Had a horseshoe go into a 717 once.I still have nightmares about a 719
The day the rake arm went in was the best day of silage
We pick up 20ft no bother, the rake man is worth his weight in goldWe always lifted ten ft rows . If they needed a turn, we used a small wuffler one row at a time.
Then one yr brother had a brain explosion and got a contractor to put 3 into one.
Cows had also been in field shitting everywhere just to add to the mess.
We had to abandon it and it had to be baled.
Sold the chopper after that farce
I was talking about first cut and a big cropWe pick up 20ft no bother, the rake man is worth his weight in gold

That doesn't work, the pick up doesn't lift high enough and it pulls the majority in.Surely better if your beat to lift the reeler and fly over taking the top off and go again with the reeler down. Be handier than clogging every few minutes
Depends on the harvester.Far better to lift single rows and go up the gears. No chokes then
Depends who and what raked it.Depends on the harvester.
I think grouped 20s are hard to beat.
Thought that was ok for 4th cutchrist i get more off when i mow my lawn,
We do rake first cut, that’s 4th cutI was talking about first cut and a big crop
By grouped 20s I mean 20ft rows left by a grouper or autoswather on the mower. They aren't lumpy like a raked row.Depends who and what raked it.
If in doubt, dont
