Transport width

Would like to throw out a quick question to the forum, If you were in the market for a new mounted piece of machinery, would a transport width of 3.3m put you off buying, compared to a 3m machine? The machine in question would have a length of approximately 2.5m from front to rear.

Many Thanks.

No. Though if I was doing an awful lot of roadwork it might. Moving anything 4m wide on the road is tricky sub 3.5m is quite straight forward round here. (NB not talking legalities here, just how easy it is to get along roads etc....)

Just bear in mind that legally over 3 m you need an Ag dispensation on the road. Most around here go for anything 3m or under if at all possible.

Why not use a trailor if only 2.5 long
Only 2.5 wide on a trailor if very busy traffic or just use a escort vehicle when on busy ish road
Or nothing when local
Depends on local plod lol
