Troublesome 6265

Hi all, watched the forum for a long time but never actually posted anything.
Have a MF 6265 causing trouble, tractor will start and run, no lights on dash, no drive forward or reverse, no PTO or 3pt linkage.
2 mechanics have been to look at the tractor, both times it started and drove as normal but once switched off back to no drive again. Have checked wiring, replaced alternator and also tried an ECU from another 6265 with no change.
Wondering if anybody has any other suggestions before the main dealer gets involved and lands me a large bill before lambing time??
Thanks in advance

Others may be better informed than me, but im not sure an ecu from another tractor would work anyway without being programmed in to your tractor.

Can’t seem to get any life at all with foot/shuttle lever. One guy seemed to think both forward/reverse arrows would flash together if it was clutch switch? No lights at all on the dash. Delighted if it was the clutch switch, cheap fix hopefully!

That was my thinking balerman. Think he had hoped it would show up some controls working so that we could maybe point to a faulty brain ?

Start with checking the power supplies for the lift and gearbox ecu's.

Yellow supplies the gearbox
Red for the lift.

Start at the battery and work back but they normally corrode at the connections under the right foot step.

Also check the resistance of the engine speed sensor with the engine stopped it needs to be around 470 ohms

Where are the ecu and speed sensor located? I have no manual or experience so I’m working blind to a degree. The main ecu is under right hand steps is that correct?

The main ecu you refer to is the gearbox one and the lift is located in the right console in the cab.
If you check under the main ecu you will see 2 plugs
1. Yellow and black wire
2. Red and black wire
Check that there no corrosion on these as they are the main power supplies.

The speed sensor is located on the hydraulic side plate just in front of the right half axle

Have put new connections on at battery and checked at main ecu at rhs step and all seem ok. Hoping it’s something stupid as it has went as normal twice now

Thanks everyone for your input, dealer was out this morning and tractor sorted within an hour. At the front left of the engine beside the cab there is a connector with the red and yellow feeds to ecu, this was corroded slightly. Hopefully save somebody a headache in the future
