Does black chassis Ts115 sle have wet clutch?

They all have a wet clutch as such!! They don’t have a power reverser type setup but dump oil out of the other packs when you clutch. They use a synchroniser moved hydraulically for the forward and reverese shuttle

Is it any different to Ford 8340?

The F/R shuttle synchroniser is manually/mechanically moved in the 8340.

I believe so as it’s still an electro command and the Range Command is also a hydraulically moved and electrically controled synchroniser shift

Yep still a synchro,in fact electro command still the same currently.

I remember reading in a Ford brochure years ago that the 7840 had a dry clutch and 8340 had a wet clutch.

The 7840 could be had with 12x12 transmission with a normal dry clutch but hydraulic operated clutch release bearing.
