As above - is this a good idea, and do people do it?

I can't do it variably (which I do for spread TSP elsewhere), but I can put it down the spout. Looking at DD winter wheat following DD OSR.

many thanks.

Are your soils low in P? If not, why not put a low dose down the spout and do the rest variably top dressed? A bit is good. A lot down the spout is unnecessary unless it suits your logistics IMHO.

Thanks - i thought i'd try a bit on one field which needs an average of 140kgs ha. I can squeeze a tonne in the front hopper so will do that at 100kgs, then sprinkle what's left on top in the bits that need most.

Funnily enough i had a yara flyer through just after posting this telling of the benefits of it down the spout.
