TSP now or spring?

Think I probably know the answer to this one but would welcome views:

Hired vari rate spreader has only just turned up, and ive got maintenance dressings to do on wheat and rape ground. On clay with flints and can travel fine at the moment, but I still think there's more value in waiting for spring before getting tsp on, given plants will be shutting down soon and tsp is locked up after 30 seconds or whatever. Right decision?

During the growing season is always best but I wouldn't lose any sleep over this if now is the only time you've got the spreader.

Thanks. Have spreader until I'm done in the spring, so no hurry.

If you can travel, do it now. It ain't going anywhere and it will remove one job from the list in spring. If anyone asks tell them it is urea and sulphur for your OSR to get the top yields. They will be confused as fudge.

That’s what late January/early February is for
