Tubeless tyres

I think we're going to get a full set of bkt's for the tractor. Thinking about fitting them myself to save some money. Got a decent bead breaker and levers now but how easy is it to seat the bead on them? Only ever dealt with tubes before.

Put a ratchet strap a round the circumferance of the tyre and tighten so it pushes the sidewallss towards the edge of the rim.works very well.also remove valve to enable air to go into tyre quicker

Price your local tyre fitters we have just put a set on one of ours and we were gonna put them on ourselves we priced them online delivered direct and at fitters snd it was £200 cheaper at fitters fitted couldnt see the point in doing it myself when all i had to do was drive tractor 15 mile there and back

The ratchet strap sounds best. I don't know what this easy start you talk of is anyway;).
Will be ringing round first. Not too impressed by the last part worn michelins we had from the local fitter last time.

Tried the ratchet strap on one i did last year and the tyre was so stiff in wouldn't even move it. In the end we unscrewed the water valve and used the airline off the inch drive windy gun, blew it straight on.

If in any doubt get a professional tyre fitter to do them.
If you do do them yourself, tyre paste will be your friend.
Forget about the ratchet strap idea it rarely works.
Getting enough air into the tyre fast enough will be your biggest problem. Provided the old tyre is sound I blow the opposite one up to about 60 psi. Then, to inflate the new tyre you've just fitted, remove the air/water valve and clamp a garden hose on with a jubilee clip. Remove the air/water valve on the tyre you've just inflated to 60 psi and stick the hose over it. NOTE it is very important to wear gloves as high pressure air on your skin can get air into your blood stream and kill you.
Once the tyre has seated inflate to seat beads. Never exceed 35 psi until the beads have seated. You then need to inflate the tyre to 60 psi to make it seal properly before letting it down to the operating pressure, you might use this pressure to do the next one.
Some large tyres hold over 1000 litres of air which even large compressors can't cope with. I've used this method even when I've called out a professional tyre fitter and they haven't managed.
Never stand infront of a tyre when inflating, make sure you have a long hose on your compressor and that it clamps firmly on the valve and stand well back. If you don't know what you are doing and you get it wrong you can seriously injure yourself or even die.

So I managed to fit the front ones alright. They blew straight up onto the rim no trouble but couldn't get the air in quick enough for the back ones because it had loads of little ridges in to stop the tyre from spinning on the rim where the air kept leaking out so got a tyre fitter in. He just took the valve out screwed on a fitting, plugged the air line in and they went straight on. Annoying.

Thanks Phill @terry elsey tyres The tyres are great.

Now does anybody want some cheap used tyres and by cheap I mean free 18.4r38 around 20-30% and 14.9R28 maybe 10% tubeless goodyears.

You would be surprised how many tyres inflate without help if you put the hose straight onto the empty valve holder, once its seated remove and fit valve and inflate up to correct pressure.

I never needed any lighter fluid or such nonsense. Just get the tyre on the rim then set it off blowing up. If it's hissing out, give it a wobble and it'll make enough contact to catch and get pressure behind. Just make sure your beads are clean and straight.
