Turning herd into one mob.

The boss is talking about grouping all the beef cows together running them in the summer as one big mob instead of usual groups of 40-50. All bulls will need to be mixed together as well. He hopes to work a rotational grazing system the same as we do with the dairy cows. My worry is that we have a wide variation of cows and have different bulls to suit the different cows and I worry that putting everything together might lead to bigger problems. Anyone had any experiences doing anything like this? Good and bad points please. 350 cows. angus x, simmy x. Charolais and angus bulls used at the moment.

I havnt done it myself but surely running all Angus bulls would make good sense? Drop the group average mature weight of the heavier cows over time and use Angus on all suckler cows and the heifers in the dairy unit?
