Looking at an Amazone ZAV to spread MOP, Polysulphate, ANS etc but also comparing with Bogballe M35 W from KRM. Must be simple to operate and capable of ten years plus life.

Want to hold 4000 litres or more with weighcell and good forgiving spread pattern at 24m or 30m widths. No fussed about ISOBUS as our Case tractor is poor in that dept anyway.

Budget is sub 20k ideally.

Any views welcome good or bad!

Used to have a Vicon years ago, nothing wrong but seem a little old in the design now?
No I don’t think so, their sales pitch is that on slopes it doesn’t alter the drop point so it doesn’t change the speed pattern. I would never have a Amazone as they don’t have an overlap on the spread pattern so green stripes are easier to get.

Why not just get a isobus terminal and partial loom loads of options out there and it’s yours to swop about as you wish if you have spreader.

We’re on our second Krm and wouldn’t look at anything else other than a kv/Vicon/Kubota depending on your dealer preference

As above, if you like the spreader itself then buying a dedicated screen could be an option.

I believe the KV Tellus Go screen is compatible with almost any implement so even that could be an option. The other bonus of the Tellus Go is it has buttons on it too and isn't just touchscreen. I find that much better.

KRM offer their own screens too.....but they do look a bit stone age at first glance. https://www.krm-ltd.co.uk/Bogballe/Spreaders electrics.htm

P.S I know it's not the question but I would also highly recommend section control too if you did end up changing the spreader.

Did exactly this two years ago, boiled it down to the KV or the KRM M35W.

Both good machines, we went with the KRM in the end as it was a known quantity, previous machine was a KRM weigh cell which had run faultlessly for almost 20 years.

The Bogballe just seems simpler to use, less settings, and easier to clean, but the real deal maker was, you could get hydraulic disc drive, so wonder of wonders no pto and no pto clutch to seize solid.
so we have a M35W wide body, dynamic control, full iso, with hydraulic drive , all for less than 17k.

Was that section control and a screen also? Sounds a very keen price if it was.

KV do offer hydraulic drive as an option but I believe I was told it's another £6k on top of PTO.

Yes full section control, no in cab box, as all my tractors are full iso, so no need( not case )

Two years ago, when we inquired , KV didn’t offer hydraulic drive, and the KV sales man came up with some reason why not, using, I think, the BS baffles brains sales pitch.

Looking at a new kv geospread , will be putting it on a fendt 724 older one (14) any ideas if profi plus is section control unlocked? And I’ll be using the ISO screen as saves money ( you can use a greenstar 2630 screen if needed) is the iso screen a direct copy of the tellus box? can it do the same and as cLear to use?
Thankyou

Another benefit of KRM is their section protocol is free and open. It's now possible to talk to the spreader from AgOpenGPS for ultra cheap section control
