New to the forum and keeping sheep. Looking for experienced advice. Have small flock of Hebrideans. Recent snowstorms here (850ft up on the edge of the Pennines) had a ewe develop Pregnancy Toxaemia and Hypocalcaemia. Treated her with Nettex Twin Lamb Rapid and Calciject. Couple of days later she was almost back to her old self and gave birth to twin rams yesterday morning. No intervention. Both lambs took to suckling, both healthy up until mid after noon today when one of the lambs lost all energy and the mother is now pretty much ignoring him. I've tried a dose of kick start with the lamb and tried to get some milk in him but he looks on the way out. Any pearls of wisdom?
