Tyre Profile

Looking at a new set of tyres and wondered if people had experienced any differences in performance/wear between tyres with the same width but different profile. I am looking at 520/85r38 and 520/70r38, the first obviously gives greater ground clearance and road speed but how would they compare for grip etc?

Taller tyres means longer footprint at same pressure. That translate into bigger load capacity at the same pressure, or a lower pressure for the same load. What value that have to you, depends on you use. If it's for 4wd your fronts have to match.
For normal fieldwork i would always choose biggest possible diameter.
