Tyre sealant

Having problems with bkt 550/45/22.5 tyres coming off rims, have to go to the tyre shop with 2 just now. 1 from this morning and one from last week (spare been on since then)

They seem to loose pressure then get knocked off easy. I asked before about putting some kind of sealant in but they weren't keen for some reason. Think they said you can't repair a tyre once it has that stuff in it. I would have hoped not to need to repair it if it had sealant in though!

Does anyone else use stuff? How many litres would I need?

You cold try oko we use gallons of this and seems to work very well

Tyres on a 12 ton trailer.

Only just back from tyre place! They had a hell of a job with them, one was just clean knocked of the rim, the other had a couple small holes.

They recon they are only fit to Carry 14ton total so will be on their limit with what we are doing. In the end they conceded and put sealant in one tyre that had a nick in sidewall they couldn't otherwise plug. They were offering a tube but I wasn't keen on that. Looks like will have to buy a set of radial 60 profile wheels and tyres and demote the current ones to a smaller trailer in future.

We've the same size radial verdestein 560/45/22.5 on a 15t usually run them about 50 psi I've seen them at some funny angles but never came off the rim

That's useful as I thought it was the shallow profile that was partially to blame. It's 350 for a radial replacement of same size or 420 for a 60 profile.
