Hi all.
My Ford 7810 needs new tyres all round. The brand will probably be Cultor as that's what the local tyre man seems to be pushing these days. I'm currently on 16.9 R38 and 14.9 R28 the plan is to go a bit wider and fit 480-70 R38 and 420-70 R28 am I correct with this tyre size . I have referred to one of the tyre charts so hope I'm correct.

Those tyres are the correct replacement for what you have. It's an odd combination on a 7810 though, 16.9r38 with 14.9r24 would be more common and 14.9r28 usually goes with 18.4r38

Stay away from cultor. Size on tyre wall say 24,70,380. Measures only 330 wide !
Tyre width varies quite a bit between brands, I was quite surprised when I bought a second tractor on 650’s and parked it next to the other, the difference was very noticeable, the biggest surprise was when I measured them and found the Michelin’s were two inches narrower than the Goodyear’s, it looks more than that.

There's 3 different 7810s and although you say yours is the first one in Ireland I reckon the wheels aren't right but if you're the original buyer then it's probably right. She would certainly pull well in the field but be wound up on tarmac going by any other 78 I've seen[emoji848][emoji848]

There was a few 7810s on 28Ron the front. Mine was the first 78 sold in Ireland so is an early one with lighter linkage and the 4wd box is lighter like a 7610.
Still sounds like a strange combination. Any 10s, 40s or TSs I've seen with 16.9r38 rears and 28s on the front have had 13.6r28s not 14.9r28.
