Tyre size question

My van has 5-1/2j16h2 rims
I need a spare. I've got a tire to match the rest but no rim.
found one 5j x 16h.
is that the same but 1/2" narrower?
will it matter as long as the tire is the same as the rest?

That woukd be my interpretation of it aswell, the J is the most important to match as its the rim profile so to say. What about offset?

I'm not sure about the offset. Is that referred to in the numbers?

offset if 'et' number usually, 1/2 inch difference will be fine width on spare if offset is same or similar.
