Tyres on potato harvester

A non wheel drive potato harvester would you put tyres on backwards? Just heard this don’t know if it’s right

If they are tractor tread type then on non powered axles then that seems to be the case. Slurry tankers and the like are often that way too..

A non wheel drive harvester here would be in the shed! But yes, cleated tyres on backwards seems to work pretty well on our tanker and sprayer - the tyres tend to stay cleaner and machine stay afloat better.

Both tyres on reekie non drive were on backwards

On non driven potato harvester wheels, the wheel will tend to stall and not turn in very difficult conditions. The wheel is more likely to turn properly if the tyre tread is opposite to a driven tyre.
