Is it to late in the year to bury some underpants in the fields to see how good the bacteria is working or would we be better of waiting for the spring.
What’s the point? What would you change if your skiddys didn’t rot? Isn’t the amount of grain in the combine tank indicator enough?
It would be pointless me burying my old pants, I don’t stop wearing them till the crotch rots out so it wouldn’t be a very useful test.
Gonna buy some new ones for the test, n if they don't get eaten by the bacteria etc then we will re -visit what we are doing , thankfully we have a neighbour that still likes to destroy soil with ploughs and power harrows with similar soil that is willing to participate too so I would hope it would give a gauge .as for the combine tank yes that tells us we are doing ok on a temporary basis one season doesn't make you great, need them every time
Well that's a good enough reason for me to find out for myself, always take things written in the generic farming press with a pinch of salt to be honest.
