Unreliable omnistar

Is anyone else struggling with omnistar? I’m getting fed up with paying for a signal that is so unreliable. We started drilling a field of barley for a neighbour on Saturday ....after 2 bouts we lost signal and had to resort to using egnos with a small offset. The field is on the brow of a hill with no obstacles. Omnistar is not worth the subscription!

Agreed. Gave it up years ago. The convergence times and dropouts drove me mad.

RTK will be cheaper to get a sub for anyways. You get instant correction, no drift and 100% repeatability. Just got to stump up the unlock. Don’t worry you’ll soon make it back with what you save every year over Omnishit!

Nick, I’d go RTK like phill has! Higher initial investment but lower running costs and can sell benefits to your customers. Call LH and ask for James

Using a Trimble receiver, we can broadcast CenterPoint FAST. This provides <4cm accuracy and is repeatable similar to RTK and is only £650/YR. Quickest satellite signal to converge your position and covers you all over the UK.
