It's August and cattle often appear to become unsettled. Perhaps, on some farms, because the grass is simply not as tasty and filling as it was earlier in the summer.

Yep, grazing becomes less palatable , as I am also a bit tight on grass as well, I am feeding BB silage to keep them happy....ier!

No, but we always put out straw and a little Molasses virtually right through the grazing season , loads of grass or no grass,Seems to balance the grass well.

Thanks everyone, was beginning to think just us! We do feed and wondered if it was too much.Any tractor and they are there, lots of grass too.
