Taking delivery of a fresh Turkey today Friday to roast on Christmas Day.
What temperature should I set our fridge at or should I deep freeze although only for a day.
I ask as bad weather (warm/humid) for storing poultry!!!
Many thanks.
In cold garage be ok if definitely fresh and you know when killed.
Watch cats ,dogs, etc obviously.
Are giblets in it?
Take all out unless your want to cook separately.
+3 to + 5 in fridge be ok otherwise.
Picked ours up on Saturday AM, got it home, debagged it from the plastic, giblets in the freezer, bird in the utility in a roasting tray covered with a damp tea towel. If I was worried (I`m not) I would chuck an icepack in the tray. Same as hanging game, and nobody cooks their bird straight out the fridge do they???
