It's there. In its own right and on orf threads. I did message @JP1 as I wouldn't usually message bomb.

At least he is in the best place and they will be good at managing the secondary infection, other than that it's a virus that will run its course.

The only other thing is Sheep can be vaccinated to prevent it but humans cant as far as I know.

Apparently the sheep are be doesn't cover all strains.

I had orf onfingers years ago, went to doc who wouldn't come near me and had no idea.
Then went to local vet who gave me bottle of chloroform to dab on with cottonwool 4 times a day and within a fortnight it was clearing/cleared up.
Dont know if this would work with infected orf tho.

Good news the lad in the facebook request is out of hospital and recovering at home. Diagnosed with orf and Gionatti- Crosti syndrome.
