On what basis have they banned it? If they have a genuine safety fear then they have every right to, but then so would we.
It would be interesting to see if their reasons for a ban could be used by us to resist allowing imports of US beef producers with hormone growth promoters which are illegal here on environmental and food safety grounds.

If only we had some kind of body or board or something that could work on behalf of UK farmers to get the message across to the general public that Brazilian beef is no good and they should avoid it and perhaps promote UK produce instead...... hmmm

I think the EU has already banned the import of Brazilian beef in March due to hygiene and corruption with meat inspectors.
