Used tractors/machinery - Buy before or after Brexit

Im in the market for an older tractor 2005-2015 ish and was wondering what everyone was thinking about buying kit now. With a possible Brexit in only a few weeks.

-Is it better to wait till the export market potentially crashes and scoop up a bargain?

-Buy now because prices will rise due to import problems and currency values?

-Will never tractors go up and older go down?

Obviously people have different views on whether Brexit should happen but if possible I’d like to keep it politics and focus on facts or educated guesses.

I wouldn't personally buy just because of Brexit , but "IF" it happens I personally can't see tractors and machinery getting cheaper but then again they never will anyhow.
Have you a need? Is something beginning to get uneconomic to repair or trying to off set tax or if just have the "WANT's" then it's up to you when to buy and not Brexit.

I’m ready to buy now but don’t need to buy till spring. Just looking for the best deal in that time but mostly spitballing on this post.

If you're ready to buy then it's just the case of looking until you find something that suits you. Still alot of tractors out there to chose from currently and nobody knows if Brexit will change that if ever.

Currency traders expect the pound will continue to drop against the Euro after the No deal Brexit is completed. I initially agree that will probably be true, then reality will hit that the Eurozone has just lost one third of its financial contributions!! Then I believe the Euro will start to drop precipitously and then total chaos. Look too buy a cheap Fendt or Mannheim JD next spring before all hell breaks loose in Europe:rolleyes:…………………..That's my opinion based on the fact that the eurozone cant survive without our regular 39Billion pounds.

So will we see NH become the cheapest tractor on the market because they're 'Made in Britain' ?.... No, no we will not. Everything will keep going up whether we had/have this Brexit malarkey or not. All this scaremongering is only beneficial to those in big business I feel, as they're the ones who will be profiting from panic buying.

Fair play to you if you can forward plan your business that well. I think farmers and contractors and ag business in general seem to have a fairly good knack to just keep on keeping on, just chipping away bit by bit and getting by as best they can. Which I feel is probably how I'll do it, just take it as it comes and work the best with what I've got.
