Vaccinating Ewe Lambs/Tupping Ewe lambs

Hi,

I've recently brought some mule ewe lambs off a deceased estate. They have no known history of being vaccinated.
I am hoping to tup most the the ewe lambs which are looking mature enough. I'm getting them in on the weekend to get weights to confirm this. I've read that they are supposed to be around 60% of their adult weight. What would this approximately be? These are NoE mule lambs.

On to the vaccinating,
If i were to tup them they would be due April time. Now i'm unsure on when to vaccinate. Ideally i would like them to be covered over the winter period, just as a safety precaution. So if i were to vaccinated now, giving them the two courses, would it be safe to give them the 'booster' 4-6 weeks before lambing? so they would get 3 doses altogether? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

Work on about 75-80kg for mature weight of NofE mules, then work your 60% from that. Apply a bit of ‘ish’, and you won’t be far out.

Yes, safe to give a course now, then a pre-lambing booster each year. Alternatively, save yourself 67p/hd and start the full course in mid-pregnancy, so the second dose is 4-6 weeks pre-lambing.
Up to you whether you think another 2 month’s cover is worth 67p, but I know what i’d Do. :)
