I did the conversion after the spring campaign. Done 70 Ha with it before mega rainfall. Can't really comment either way ATM.
As I see it the only downside is cost and fitting time, hopefully upsides are that it will block less in wet sh!t and trashy conditions, I have yet to test that though.
Its 'cheaper' to do if you are changing all the coulters as well, otherwise you will waste some partly worn coulters. (IIRC there are 27 special coulters on an 8m). The conversion kit will only fit models after a certain serial number, about 2010??
I had a new one 6 weeks ago, it went longer than our 2 row . We had the bigger discs on the front of the new one which when wet blocked quicker on the frame .
