Valley gutter options..

Got a fibre cement valley gutter around 28meters in length in need of repair , had a quote to get it lined using 0.9mm aluminium…… far exceeded what I though it would cost was North of £3.5k!! So back to the drawing board. Anyone had any success in repairing hairline cracks and leaky joints?

Anyone just put a normal plastic gutter into the existing gutter?
Can you get 10 or 12 inch wide plastic deep flow gutters?
Other option I though was cut non perforated pipe to fit and use plenty of CT1 on the joints .

anyone got better ideas? Or done something similar.

largest plastic gutter I could find on the farmIMG_6447.jpeg ideally wants to be 4 or 5 inches wider and deeper. IMG_6448.jpeg
IMG_6442.jpegIMG_6443.jpegIMG_6444.jpeg The left roof sits slightly higher than the Right roof but even so the right roof is a good 6 inch from the gutter base.
bright ideas most welcome

Renewed a couple of valley gutters.
Local shed man got galv steel pressed to the shape we needed by ( I Think ) Steadmans.
Need to look up the invoice but I think 21 metres was about £500 inc stop ends, drop nipple & bolts & sealant. 3 years ago.

Tidy, I’ll get in touch and see what they say. 👍
Your original drawing will be fine for Sharmans to prepare you a sample.

I have used their product 3 times here. Last job was part of a refurbishment. Builders chippy built a good plywood gutter valley gutter, then I had the plygene gutter made up. I had an issue with a 6" drop, but they told me what to do with this.

Builders had not seen the product beofre and were very impressed...

plygene gauranteed for 25 years. Will last a lot longer than that. absolutely no maintenance.
I've said this before but I used some on my old farmhouse in a valley that moved a lot during wet/ dry cycles, it was there 15 years at least and good as new when the owners replaced it with new lead, as their builders said the farmer had bodged the repair, his " proper" one lasted less than six months before it ripped apart.

We’ve used HD Sharman in the past…. Very good stuff. Got another really awkward bit to do and am considering doing it with wide dpc membrane.

Hey!

We've got 8-inch guttering available which can be delivered direct to site if you need it. We've also go F/C guttering if you wanted to replace the gutter with cracks, but thats entirely up to you :)

That ability to cope with movement, is what makes Plygene liner so useful in my view.
