Valtra N175 the good the bad and the ugly

Ok I’m considering changing a tractor and I’d just like the honest opinion of owners or operators of the Valtra N Series specifically the 175.
How robust and reliable is the gearbox?
What’s the fuel economy like compared to previous tractors you’ve owned?
What problems have you encountered if any?
If anyone isn’t comfortable posting publicly feel free to PM me.
The work I’d be doing with it would be loader and transport work, spraying, light cultivation and round baling.
Also I would be looking at a Versu spec or possibly Direct so if anyone has the vario version any feedback would be great.

Just had one this time, after never having anything other than NH it's a nice change, comfy, unbelievably nimble and pulls like a train, had it on discs in the spring and it pulled far better than our 6 cylinder t7.210.
No problems as of yet but early days.

I have a versu 254 , it’s more power than what your looking at but the transmission would be the same , I now have 4100 hrs on it of hard work , pulling up to 30 ton behind it all summer . It has been trouble free , in the 4100 hrs I’ve had to phone the dealer only once and that was to find a fuse that blew. It was a fuse in beside the battery for the fuel system. it hasn’t blown since . I have a 234 active which is a lovely tractor to drive , it has 1500 hrs on it and it’s repairs to date have been an addblue censor in the exhaust , it was looking to be regenerated every day. Of the two tractors I prefer driving the active . Put it in auto on the road and just sit back and let it do it’s own thing.

Have a n174 , very nimble, great power , airy cab with good view and lovely to get in and out. . Thankfully the cab is well sound proof and it's a rough enough engine noise . I would not consider it reliable compared to my other brands , plenty of little things fail. I find the clutch a strange setup as it seems to be a on/off switch instead of a normal setup. PTO sensors failure seems obligatory even on brand new tractors . For me plenty of pluses and some negatives . Don't know of another brand that has service costs as high as a valtra either

What transmission?

Your 100% right , they are far better than a Jd. A good few have switched from Jd to Valtra in the last few years.
Really James 🤔 our local contractor has bought 2 Deere's to replace 2unreliable agco tractor's 🤗.
When I drove our 1st one full time I found it noisy and just irksome... Why did it rev itself up when you moved the shuttle and lifted the clutch pedal 😠

Anecdotal I know, but had lunch with a guy at the auction yesterday. He asked if I was still running jd as he had several jd but the last one was valtra and he was having no end of bother with it and was looking to get rid of it.
