Do many of you have Valtra tractors on your farm? Are Valtra tractors more expensive than MF tractors but cheaper than Fendt /? I only ask as the only Valtra tractors I see , seem to have a hedgecutter on them or equipped for forestry.

Only have 6 of them here . Started with them in 1995 and have had no reason to change away.

They cost roughly the same (atleast here), but Valtra has a superior cab compared to Massey. They both do pull well. We've no Valtra since Case was a lot cheaper than competition.

Is that because there are fewer tractors sold? Or have you a breakdown average per tractor, i heard they have a few transmission problems?
No , per tractor valtra don't give trouble like the Massey do on average , look at speedstars 7000 series massys with 30 k in repairs in a few years. As an agco man told me , the French don't make tractors properly and they won't listen .

We run 3. The 2 T series have had same little niggles. Worst thing that broke was the water pump seal on one. We had issues with the pto not working on the N series, electrical switches in the end.
