this was back in 1985, a 805 valmet. do they still break them? ours also popped the piston off the rod of the lift ram a couple of times and seized no3 cylinder. otherwise a good tractor to drive back then and the engine fairly hung on.

I looked for years for a second hand jd 6430 50k loader tractor. They were all either too dear or millions of hours on them or both. My mate bought one paid in the high 30’s for it at the time and it blew up not long after creating a five figure bill. You never know. I ended up with a Valtra n113 hitec 5 50k

6430 50k here. Blew turbo at 6000hrs, filings in engine, £12k repair bill. Told by mechanic very common in that series at those hours. On the bright side he said should be good for next 6000hrs but get rid before it gets that close.

I think it’s a variable vein turbo that is less reliable than the basic type. Some have taken that lot off and put a basic turbo on with a different manifold can’t remember if it’s the intake or exhaust or both. It costs a small few thousand to change with various re program or deleting

There was a metallic coloured Valtra at Lamma this time last year. It stole the show. I've no pictures of it, but someone probably has.

1995 8550 valmet beast of a tractor back end was made of chocolate.

Not that one . Sid posted it number 636 post yesterday. It was a grey/green colour. Very unusual colour.
