What is Valtra reliability like?
All the main brands seam to get a good kicking for reliability on here!
Does not seam to be many complaints about Valtra s.
Had a drive of a N series’s at there road show at Brian Robinson s was quite impressed

My mechanic runs a T254 as he ploughs a thousand acres of spuds on the side every year, at 1200 hours the gearbox gave up, local dealer had it in split the tractor and sorted the issue but it’s never been the same since, needless to say it’s just got to 3000 hours and he’s getting rid

I have 5 of them here at the minute , have them since 1995 , all great tractors , give very little trouble , they work hard at silage all summer and with 4 of them gone over 10000 hrs , they are still as reliable as when they were new , I've no intension of changing any of them in the near future . Ive seen plenty of them at up to 20000 hrs and still at contract work , if they had reliability issues they would not be at hire work at this high hrs.

That's amazing the first t254 was delivered to a customer last August , 3000 hrs since August is some going , when do you plough for spuds .

There was afew around southland in 2006-7. Can’t remember the dealers name but was one in invercargill ?

There's a dealer in town here that sells a few but no fleets that I know off.
Local farmer still has a few older ones but I think there was gearbox problems with a newer one a few years ago so JD and Fendt now.
You do see a few smaller models with loaders on dairy farms.

We had a 6550 with a loader on it was reliable 6500hrs without much trouble until the went up in smoke it could pull like a train. Looking to swap out a 6630 JD so looking at the competition

Like everything, it'll break, if you know the dealer and have confidence they can shout your corner if something major goes wrong then go for it.

There's been brand bashing treads of many colours on here, but with MF, it always seemed the problem wasn't so much at dealer level.....

Valtra is being pushed hard, and being pushed hard by previously large mf dealers. Why?
