Value of muck

Does anyone know the financial value of a heap of well rotted manure? My neighbour wants it for his business and I do not want to give it away. Thanks

I paid £6/t on behalf of a customer who we spread it for. It was about 200ton of well rotted cattle muck

I would agree with the £6 provided it’s not too old. The nutrients leach over time which isn’t too bad for soil conditioning but not for feeding anything. We spread an old lump, +5 years and it had nowhere near the kick of the younger stuff.

Got to be £45 an hour at least I guess, including time to cut string if it’s rubbishy.

the clock stops when the last bit of string has been removed! £45 an hour for string cutting should make the heap cleaner next year?

What do people charge for spreading it?

Our contractor charges £100 hr for 2 spreaders and Manitou loading.

£125 an hour round here for two spreaders and a cat teleporter. Hired on last time put it on our tractor and loaded with a loader tractor which we have 3 of and worked out a hell of a lot cheaper
