Yes possible even with old style horsch box so muller box shouldn't be a problem, Soyl can do it through an ipad. I would speak with DK Electronics(David King) 01789731365 they are the UK distributers of Muller.

I've always been led to believe it is given that it's electric metering and you can vary it +10% or so from the cab, but I guess depends on software version. David King Electronics would likely be the ones to speak to.

It was possible with older versions of the Muller box on Kuhn fert spreaders - you had to use another rate control box with its own GPS feed to supply a variable rate signal.
In my case I used an RDS rate controller to supply the variable rate to the Muller box. If they have removed that feature from the newer box then they want their arse kicked, but of course they're now pushing their own ISOBUS system so you can see why they'd tell farmers to spend more for the same result.

IF your using SOYL on the farm (I see your in Denmark?), give them a ring and see if their new iPad based system will run the Muller box for VRS. The SOYL tech guys are pretty good at making stuff work together. If it does, phone Horsch & Muller and tell them to stick their ISOBUS where the sun don't shine.

Edit - yes, David King would be the man to ask.

Thanks for the replys, I will try to call dk electronics. Have searched the Web thin and not found any clue that it should be possible.
The isobus conversion would be a good 1000 £ so hoping to just have to buy a cabel instead.

First thing to ask would be how old is the drill and what type of controll box is fitted in the cab. If it is the Muller ECO terminal (black and white screen) software version greater than 3.15, or the collour version then yes it should be possible. The main thing to look for is the job computer on the drill underneath the seed hopper. There are three different versions, one complete aluminium cannot be updated and not capablel of VR, metal box with black plastic endcaps can be updated. metal box with red plastic end caps is not possible. What is required is a SKUL adaptor from DK Electronics, from memory if the SW version is 8.43 on the job computer this may welll not work with the greenstar, had this issue with one of my customers on the latest job computer, horsch had to roll the software back to V8.2 before the greenstar would communicate. You will also need field doc connect cable (JD) NULL modem and gender changer to connect. Richard. SOYL

That's interesting! I had issues with our drill many years back and had to replace this computer. Old one was black end caps but new one is all aluminium. Turned out not to be the computer in the end, but kept the new one as I was advised to as it was "newer". Turns out I should have done the opposite if the black one can be updated. Still have the black one somewhere I'm sure, no idea where though tbh! I think I should dig it out after reading this.

The drill is from 2011,
The Müller monitor (black and white screen) is software 3.17 and hardware is 5.11
Box on the drill is silver and black and says software 8.43 and hardware 1.41

So then I should be running with a few cables and maby a software downgrade.
Thanks for the help so far.

Edit: PF90363 does anyone know if that´s the correct part number

The pf number sounds right for the field doc connect cable, there are two types of skul adaptor, make sure it's the correct one. When cabled up if the greenstar won't communicate with the Eco terminal it may well require a roll back. CPP on here can advise on the field doc connect cable. The hardware support team at soyl hq would be happy to advise on the skul adaptor [email protected]
