but kind of reinforces my view that the farming industry should be doing more positive promotion itself to counteract these types of things.

Just shouting 'nutters' over your breakfast cereal isn't enough; they are the ones who have got their message and images on the BBC News.
You're quite right. As I've said in other threads, a lot of farmers seem to just think "they're eccentric nutters and no one listens to them". The problem is that people DO listen to them and they DO turn people to veganism.

I have personally seen their "peaceful" demonstrations where they show photoshopped pictures and videos of dodgy abbatoirs that clearly arent in the UK.

I've seen them going around handing out milk then telling people it was dog milk after they've drunk it.

Getting back to the OP, they should be charged with vandalism and barred from the shop.
