Been looking at cladding side of a shed in, i have been told that ventair sheets from Steadmans let more air through than Yorkshire boarding and also are better a keeping driving rain out is this correct ?
Also whats the difference in cost between the two

We have it on a grain store, its next to another building so not too exposed to weather so cant truly comment on its weather proofing , but its never rained in and keeps the shed well vented.
no sign of rust on the cut ends of louvres after 8 years

I have Ventair on 2 sides of a building and YB on another (timber face on more visible side). The Ventair lets a lot less driving rain in, despite getting the prevailing weather. It was dearer to buy than the timber, but is a lot faster to put up. If you pay/cost the labour then the cost is fairly neutral.

Still think YB looks better though, especially when it weathers.

has anybody got any further thoughts on this product? we are looking to replace the old fibre cement sheets on the front and back of an existing cubicle shed to increase daylight and help with airflow and ventilation.one end would get a fair bit of rain thrown at it the other would only see the odd easterly.

Do you mean the ventair or the highlight.
Personally I'd go for ventair on the west side and highlight on the east. If the cubicle beds are immediately inside the cladding they'd take a fair bit of moisture through highlight with driving rain. If a scrape passage not such an issue.

Got ventair on a building here, very good for letting air and light in and much better at keeping the rain out than space boarding. Worth noting there are different types of vented tin, the genuine ventair made by Steadman has 2 or 3 times the number of louvres that some vented steel sheets have

We've a cow shed clad half and half on the north eastern side with spaced boarding and ventair cladding. Snow blow (especially the very fine stuff) can regularly travel 10 feet or more in through the boarding but drops within a foot of the wall with the ventair; rain doesn't come in at all. Page 13 of this AHDB Cattle Housing Design manual shows a table with void area; Ventair is less ventilated than most other forms of cladding but you can alter your installation to help alleviate this.

We've used Thomas Panels & Profiles in the past for cattle and muck stores and been really pleased with the results. Colours seem to last pretty well (slight fade on the very oldest sheds but still no rusting) and have always been competitive on price.

Would galebreaker products keep driving rain and snow out? Want to cover my gable end with it but it faces north east so will get some fairly bad weather. Cubicles will be within 3 meters of it as well

But I do have solid cladding on the prevailing wind side.
