Very unhappy sow

One of our three sows this morning is very unhappy. It seems something with her back foot. Whenever she puts the tiniest bit of weight on what looks like the top of the toe (I’m sure they aren’t called toes) she is yelping in pain. She won’t let us anywhere near her and won’t even take her food. I was going to give her some metacalm which vets prescribed the other year as one of the others was limping. I’ve attempted to get some Terramycin on her foot too but can’t get close enough to her.

She was absolutely fine when we fed them
Last night.

Not sure what to do as I’ve never seen her in such a state.

They do sometimes get a sprain that goes away after a day or two, broken legs are rare unless there is a lot of jumping from boars or on heat sows.

Loxicom or metacam or similar if you have any, otherwise it is a vet job and bang goes the profit for the entire decade.
